Children's Rights Alliance, trading as Children's Rights Queensland (hereafter "Children’s Rights Queensland"), is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and how we maintain compliance with relevant Australian legislation. This policy was last updated in July 2025.

Depending on the type of relationship you have with Children's Rights Queensland (e.g., member, client, donor, participant, job applicant, employee, volunteer, or potential volunteer), we may collect the following types of personal information:

However, as the internet is not entirely secure, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted online. We encourage you to take precautions when sharing personal information over the internet.

8. Accessing and correcting your personal information

You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information. To make a request, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will provide access to your personal information where permitted by law.

If you believe your privacy has been compromised, please contact us, and we will investigate your complaint. We aim to respond within 7 business days, but more complex issues may take longer.

9. Direct marketing

Children’s Rights Queensland may send you direct marketing communications regarding our programs, services, and events. If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications, you can opt out by contacting us or following the unsubscribe instructions included in the communications.
