A Big Book with a Big Message
Written by Dannika Patterson and illustrated by Amanda Letcher, the book explores the 54 rights in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child using vibrant illustrations and child-friendly language.
Ideal for homes, classrooms, and libraries, it’s both a learning tool and a source of inspiration, helping children understand their rights and feel empowered to use their voice.

Created with Children, for Children
What makes The Big Book of Rights truly special is the voices and creativity of the children behind it. More than 200 children were consulted during its development, sharing their ideas, experiences, and drawing concepts that directly inspired the illustrations. Their insights shaped the narrative, ensuring it reflects what rights mean to children today.
The book also features the unique TypeRights Font, which includes new letters and numbers inspired by children’s own designs. By weaving their perspectives into every page, The Big Book of Rights speaks to young readers in a way that is authentic, inclusive, and empowering.
