Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

The following statement is our promise to uphold the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children by creating environments where they are protected, respected, and heard.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

At Children’s Rights Queensland (CRQ), we are dedicated to ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children. Guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, we champion and educate the community about every child’s right to protection, respect, and a voice.

We are committed to creating inclusive, culturally safe environments that prioritise the wellbeing of all children, with particular care for First Nations children, children with disabilities or developmental delays, those experiencing child protection concerns, and children from diverse backgrounds. We are committed to upholding the ten National principles for Child Safe Organisations.

With zero tolerance for child abuse, neglect and harm, we ensure all concerns are taken seriously, reported promptly, and addressed effectively. Our team, including leaders, volunteers, and contractors uphold robust policies, undertake training, and prioritise listening to children to ensure their safety and empowerment.

Together, we strive for a future where every child can learn about their rights and thrive in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.
