Celebrating Child Protection Week 2025
Children’s Rights Queensland proudly joined communities across the state in celebrating Queensland Child Protection Week 2025. The week provides an opportunity to shine a light on the importance of keeping children safe, valued, and supported.
Family Fun Day in Richlands
Together with our friends at 54 reasons, we hosted a Child Protection Week Family Fun Day in Richlands. With the support of more than 20 incredible partner organisations, the event brought together hundreds of children, families, and community members for a day filled with connection, laughter, and learning.
Families enjoyed interactive activities, performances and entertainment. We were especially excited to give families a sneak peek at two of our brand-new resources:
Both resources are designed to help children discover and understand their rights in fun, creative, and meaningful ways.
Recognising Achievements
We were also humbled to be recognised with an award during Child Protection Week, a reminder of the collective effort it takes to create safer communities for Queensland children. You can learn more about the awards here.
Coming Together at the Dinner
To close the week, our team attended the Child Protection Week Dinner, where organisations and advocates came together to reflect and celebrate achievements.
A Collective Thank You
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Queensland Child Protection Week team and the Queensland Family and Child Commission for their valued funding and support. And of course, a huge thank you to our volunteers, partners, and supporters who continue to walk alongside us in this work.
Together, we are building stronger, safer, and more rights-respecting communities for Queensland’s children.
