Event/Celebration Registration - Terms and Conditions

By registering your event, celebration or project on the Children's Rights Alliance Inc. trading as Children’s Rights Queensland (CRQ) website, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Event Review and Approval

  • All submitted events are subject to review and approval by CRQ before being published online.

  • CRQ reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or remove any event listing at its sole discretion, without the obligation to provide a reason.

2. Role of Children’s Rights Queensland

  • CRQ is not the organiser, host, or responsible party for any registered celebration or project.

  • CRQ is solely providing a platform to advertise your event.

  • CRQ does not oversee or take responsibility for the planning, promotion, safety, or delivery of your event.

  • CRQ will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or other issues arising from your event.

3. Insurance and Legal Compliance

You agree to:

  • Ensure your celebration or project is covered by adequate public liability insurance. (Most schools, early learning centres, and playgroups are already covered by institutional policies.)

  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and legal requirements, including any local government or venue regulations.

  • Undertake a risk assessment and prepare a safety plan for your event to ensure the wellbeing of all attendees.

4. Responsibility and Indemnity

You agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the organisation, management, and delivery of your celebration or project.

  • CRQ is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay, cancellation, or other incident before, during, or after your event.

  • You will release, indemnify, and hold harmless Children’s Rights Queensland, its staff, volunteers, agents, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, expenses, or legal costs that arise in connection with your event or any act or omission by you, your employees, contractors, or agents.

5. Use of Information and Promotion

  • By registering, you give permission for CRQ to publish your event details on its website and promotional materials, unless you explicitly request otherwise.

  • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the information you submit.

  • CRQ may edit content for clarity or consistency prior to publishing.

6. Photography and Media

  • You are responsible for obtaining consent from individuals (or their guardians) if you take photographs or videos at your event.

  • CRQ accepts no responsibility for any media taken or shared by third parties at your event.

7. Event Changes or Cancellation

  • If your event is changed or cancelled after registration, you must inform CRQ as soon as possible so the online listing can be updated or removed.

  • CRQ may also remove your listing if we receive credible concerns regarding the event’s safety, integrity, or compliance with these terms.

8. Compliance with CRQ Values

  • Events must align with the values and purpose of Children’s Rights Queensland, promoting the rights and wellbeing of children in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

  • CRQ may reject or remove any listing that appears inconsistent with this mission.
